Finally!

Saturday Night Live has been a huge disappointment the last few years. It devolved from being mildly entertaining and funny into being one of the worst shows on television. And the formerly audacious and hilarious Weekend Update segment was turned into a royal piece of shit by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Luckily, that will soon change given the announcement yesterday on the Tonight Show

BURBANK, Calif.— Tina Fey is leaving the anchor chair at "Saturday Night Live." Fey says she's quitting the show after six seasons as head writer and co-anchor of the "Weekend Update" fake news segment to focus on her new NBC prime-time series, "30 Rock."

"The new show's going to take a lot of time," Fey said while appearing on Friday night's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Once Jimmy Fallon left the show just plummeted for me. I was at the point where I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the show anymore. The thought of Tina Fey jokes and her appearances on Weekend Update was enough to keep me away from watching. Hopefully now SNL can return to its old form…

I haven't watched SNL in years, but the best WU "anchor" ever was Colin Quinn with Norm McDonald a close second.

I love Colin...

Did you ever see his show on Comedy Central?

Yeah. I was pissed when they canceled it. The pre-cursor to Mind Of Mencia. They held nothing back. I loved watching Nick DiPaolo. The only semi-Conservative one on there.

No wait, I think Rich Vos had slight leanings to the right.

Colin Quinn was more to the right as well.

I didn't find Tina Fey funny in the least (especially not in during the weekend update segment). She always seemed like she was trying too hard.. for something.
